WELCOME

The Creative Cottage is a realized dream that God planted deep in my heart well over 25 years ago.  My grandmother instilled a love to create and explore with different mediums and materials, and some of my fondest memories are of her turning me loose in a craft store with a $20 bill when I would go visit.  That sparked my summer craft camp business that I ran in my backyard in Middle School and High School, a canvas painting business right out of college, and a degree in education where I was facilitating creativity in my classroom everyday.  Having my own children gave me fresh eyes to see God as the most creative Creator, and to see us as God's image bearers — He has made us to create!  The heart beat of this studio is God -- He first modeled His creativeness, He gave all of us an inate desire to create (whether in art form or other form) and He gave me the vision for this studio long before I could ever grasp what it would actually become.
